Ramona, a Saint Luke's Nurse...

was inspired by her mother and always knew she wanted to be a nurse. She found her calling in Saint Luke's Neonatal ICU over 40 years ago, and she's been making a difference there ever since. When she started, the NICU was only a small unit with a few rooms. As the NICU grew over the years, so did her career. While working as a nurse, her manager strongly encouraged her to continue her education and build her skills. Saint Luke's helped her graduate with an Associate's Degree that helped her achieve the fulfilling nursing career she has today. Now as Co-Chair of the Unit Nursing Professional Development Committee, she continues to inspire and be inspired everyday. That's the Saint Luke's experience.

Adrienne, a Saint Luke's Nurse...

Had always wanted to join this field. She wanted to follow in the footsteps of her sister, now a retired nurse. At Saint Luke's, her professional growth has been immense, with her obtaining her Bachelor's in Nursing, Master's of Science in Management and a Certification in Neuroscience Registered Nurse. But all of that is eclipsed by one experience, when she cared for a young man who couldn't speak as a result of a stroke. They developed a close camaraderie over time. A month after he was discharged for outpatient speech therapy, he came back and said, “I could not tell you then, but I came back to say thank you.” It reinforced the fact that nursing was her calling. That's the Saint Luke's experience.

Megan, a Saint Luke's Registered Dietician...

joined us over six years ago as a staffing coordinator, with dreams to eventually become a dietician. She then moved onto becoming a dietician technician, after which she applied to distance dietetic internships. Little did she know then that eventually, Saint Luke’s would fund her internship and give her a job offer as a Registered Dietician upon certification. She now works as an RD with us, all while managing to further her career in a supportive environment and being able to spend time with her kids on her days off. That’s the Saint Luke’s experience.

Charles, a Saint Luke's Pharmacist...

witnessed the excellent cardiac care at Saint Luke’s firsthand when his grandfather was battling heart failure. That deep impression drove him to apply here first for his general practice residency and later for his current role as a clinical pharmacist. He feels very fortunate to deliver outstanding pharmacotherapy alongside such talented and tireless peers. He’s especially proud to contribute directly to our multidisciplinary, cutting-edge approach to quality patient care. That’s the Saint Luke’s experience.
